INFORMATION RELEASE | 5th October, 2022
Ukrainian Vinnitsyamiskteploenergo and Finnish Imatran Lämpö Oy (www.imatranlampo.fi) have started the project IMATRAN LÄMPÖ DH III. The project will address the digitalisation of maintenance functions and fuel procurement and support capacity building and knowledge transfer by twinning between the two heating companies. The aim is also to test a cloud-based digitalisation software and do a pilot case.
The project is scheduled from December 2021 to December 2022. Project activities were withheld during spring 2022 due to security reasons, but continued again in summer 2022. The project scope and schedule were revised during summer 2022.
During the summer, project parties made preparations for fuel purchase Digitalisation Demo. Digitalisation demo is to be implemented by Finnish company KPA Unicon Oy (www.kpaunicon.com) by using PlantSys digital platform. Currently Vinnitsia is restricted to use only expensive high quality bio fuels in their bio boilers. The revised objective of the project is to find out technical applications for Vinnitsia to utilise also cheaper low quality bio fuels.
In the end of September, four Vinnitsyamiskteploenergo representatives visited Imatra for one week to implement the digitalisation demo and to discuss possible modification of fuel feeding system of bio boilers of Vinnitsia. Solutions for modification are developed by boiler experts of KPA Unicon Oy.
The project is financed by Nefco (www.nefco.int/futf) via Finland-Ukraine Trust Fund granted by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. The project is monitored by Elomatic Ltd., engaged by Nefco as the Coordination and Management Consultant for the Finland Ukraine Trust Fund (the “CM Consultant”).
